Ingredients

  • Broccoli florets
  • Ice water

Instructions

  • Wash the broccoli thoroughly and remove any leaves or blemishes.
  • Cut the broccoli into florets or chop it into smaller pieces.
  • Bring the pot of water to a boil.
  • Add the broccoli to the boiling water and cook for 2-3 minutes or until bright green and crisp-tender.
  • Immediately transfer the broccoli to the ice water to stop the cooking process.
  • Drain the broccoli well and pat it dry with paper towels.
  • Lay the broccoli on a lined baking sheet and flash freeze for two hours.
  • Package the broccoli in freezer bags or containers and label them with the date.
  • Freeze the broccoli for up to 6 months.
