Stove Top White Rice (3 Easy Steps)

Here is an easy way to cook white rice on your stove and get it perfect and fluffy every time!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups white rice
  • 4 cups water for rinsing
  • 4 cups water Cooking
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Start by measuring out how much dry rice and water that you need. Add the rice to the pot.
  • Rinse the rice a couple of times by adding water to the pot, stirring, draining and repeat.
    Add your water to the rice in a pot and sprinkle in a little salt.
  • Place your pot on the stove and bring to a boil on medium heat.
    Once your rice comes to a boil reduce the heat to a simmer. Cover your pot and leave it until the water is completely absorbed.
    Take your rice off the heat and let it sit for 10 minutes.
    Fluff rice with a fork and serve it with some veggies and/ or meat!

Notes

Tips:
Keep the lid on during the simmer!
Rinsing the rice will give you rice that is not so sticky by removing some starch.
Rice is a lot less stick the next day!
