How To Reheat a Burrito

How to reheat your leftover burrito in 3 different ways. In the oven, microwave, and on the stove. Follow along and bring your leftover burrito back to life!

Oven method

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Remove the sour cream, guacamole, or lettuce that might be in your burrito and set aside.
  • Wrap burrito in heavy-duty aluminum foil, place onto a baking sheet, and into the oven.
  • Cook for 10-15 minutes and then carefully remove the foil and place it back into the oven for 5-10 minutes to crisp the tortilla.
  • Once it reaches 165°F internally remove carefully from the oven, add in the fresh ingredients, and serve!

Stovetop method

  • Heat a skillet on medium-low heat, add in 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and heat up.
  • Place your burrito into the pan and cover with a lid. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Flip the burrito with a spatula and continue to cook covered for 2-3 more minutes.
  • Continue checking the internal temperature and adding the cooking time until you reach 165°F.
  • Add sour cream and guacamole, serve and enjoy!

Microwave method

  • Remove burrito from foil if needed.
  • Place on a microwave-safe plate and drape a damp paper towel over the burrito.
  • Cook on medium for 2 minutes. Check and then add one minute at a time checking the temperature internally after each minute.
  • Carefully remove from the microwave once the internal temperature has reached 165°F
  • ENJOY!
